Odyssey of the Mind is a worldwide competition that teaches students to think divergently by providing open ended problems that appeal to a wide range of interests. Students develop team-building skills by working in groups along with a dedicated parent coach. Students in grades K-2 are placed in a non-competitive Primary team while students in grades 3-5 will be able to choose from a selection of five long term problems to work on. There is also a verbal/hands on spontaneous round that the students take part in. All teams will take part in the regional tournament and winners will have the opportunity to participate in the state tournament.
